Measurements: 30.5 x 17.5 x 18 cm.
Modernist vase or centerpiece of the firm Royal Dux, in ceramic, decorated with a sculptural group formed by sensual nymphs of ethereal condition frolicking in a meadow.
Royal Dux was one of the most outstanding porcelain manufactures of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods in Bohemia. Founded by E. Eichler in 1853 in Dux (now Duchov), near Prague, it has remained in business to this day. Around the turn of the century, the firm specialized in the production of Art Nouveau figures and busts. These were large pieces, mainly female-themed, as well as vases decorated with round figures.
