Small bowl with incised ribbed decoration in the glaze around the perimeter of the bowl and floral decoration inside. It is believed that the Thais migrated from southern China to the center of the Indochina peninsula around the 12th century, and that around the same time they began to produce pottery in Si Satchanalai, in the province of Sukhothai, from where, possibly, this piece comes from.

These kilns specialized in two types of production: pieces with iron-rich glazes and celadon glazes. The trade reached its peak in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
