The male figure in tender shows the influence of the Hellenistic Greek arts in the Punic culture. The author treats with virtuosity the man represented, in round bulk and full body, worked by means of a realistic and meticulous treatment of the tunic, although his face still denotes the inheritance of the classical idealization.

Punic art inherited the aesthetics of Phoenician culture, whose main characteristic was the lack of distinctive elements, as a result of creating a mixed culture with characteristics of the various peoples with whom they maintained their trade, Egypt, Assyria, Asia Minor, and Greece. The relations with the Greeks gradually introduced among them the Hellenic arts, being many times carried out by Greek artists.
