Prada - the Italian luxury fashion house from Milan - specializes in ready-to-wear leather fashion and accessories, such as shoes, watches, handbags always elegant and classic. Prada was founded in 1913 by Mario and Martino Prada, who originally named it 'Fratelli Prada' - or 'The Prada Brothers' in English. Initially, the store sold leather goods, handbags and trunks imported from England. Their leather goods were for every taste and for every occasion. After a while, Lusia Prada took over from her father who owned Mario, and eventually passed on to his daughter, Miuccia Prada in 1978. Miuccia implemented ideas that changed and improved Prada forever. The brand's popularity skyrocketed as the fashion world took notice of its clean lines, opulent fabrics and simple colors.
