Pair of figures carved in jade. One of them represents the phoenix, the other is a belt ornament. Jade in Chinese culture is more than a precious stone: it symbolizes purity, nobility and longevity. Since ancient times, it has been considered a sacred material, associated with immortality and spiritual balance. Jade amulets were used to ward off evil and attract good fortune.
