DESCRIPTION
Vase; China, c. 1900.
Copper with cloisonné enamel.
It has faults and reintegrations.
Presents mark on the base "Fuku".
Measurements. 31 x 22 x 22 cm.
Chinese copper vase decorated with cloisonné enamel as decoration. A technique that consists of depositing the vitreous paste of the enamel in compartments formed by metal sheets that, in relief, compose the silhouette of the design.
The piece of round base and globular body is profusely decorated. On the foot there is a band formed by synthesized lotus leaves and red petals in the upper area. On the body of the piece a design based on reserved cartouches can be appreciated, on the front and on the back, which are differentiated by the presence of a large dragon. The neck area follows the same ornamentation as the body on a white background, except for the lower area of the lip where one lotus petal with floral ornamentation inside is differentiated. On the sides the handles complete the design.
