Lot formed by four carvings in hard stones that are arranged on three wooden bases. All of them vary in typology and ornamentation, although it is true that in all cases the figures represent different types of animals. During the 19th and 20th centuries, animal-themed sculpture finally achieved a status of its own, within the context of Romantic sculpture. Seeking to break away from the classical sculptural ideal, many artists saw in the animal theme a new way of expression, linked to the emotional and irrational nature, in a purely romantic sense.
