Sculptural foot table with a leaf-shaped finish. From the base the shaft also simulates vegetal elements. Finally, there is the circular top or tabletop, decorated with an openwork design. This type of furniture was considered for centuries the most luxurious and valuable pieces of furniture, maintained in all collections and noble houses despite changes in fashion, and finally revalued in the nineteenth century within the context of historicism.
