Lot comprising a vase and a plate with similar ornamentation, derived from the typology known as the Green Family. This type of piece became very popular in Europe.
Canton was an important centre for ceramics and porcelain in the 18th and 19th centuries, with the city of Jingdezhen being an important production site and the port of Canton the place where they were decorated with enamels and sold to foreign customers.
