Hand-knotted wool.
Measurements: 171 x 152 cm.
Kilim formed by a single field organized in tesserae of zigzagging profile as a multicolored checkerboard. Predominantly blue, orange, ochre and cream tones. Wool dyed with vegetable substances. Kilim is a word of Turkish origin and is practiced in the geographical area that includes parts of the region of Turkey (Anatolia and Thrace), North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and China. Kilims are flat-weave carpets, without knots, which are woven by passing the weft threads through the warp threads; a particularity that conditions their design.
