Coffee set made entirely in silver. The work of silver in the 20th century underwent a remarkable evolution, especially in the field of goldsmithing for the production of tableware utensils. Throughout the century, the design of these objects reflected the stylistic and functional transformations of the time, from the influence of Art Nouveau and Art Deco to the formal refinement of modernism and industrial design. Silver, due to its malleability and characteristic luster, continued to be a privileged material in the manufacture of cutlery, trays, jugs and other tableware, both in domestic contexts and in the field of haute cuisine and official protocol. With the advance of mechanized production and the introduction of new manufacturing techniques, pieces of great refinement were achieved, combining traditional craftsmanship with technological innovation. In addition, experimentation with alloys and finishes expanded the creative possibilities, allowing the incorporation of geometric motifs, minimalist engravings or even fusions with other materials. In this sense, silver not only maintained its status as a symbol of luxury and distinction, but also adapted to changes in consumer habits and contemporary design aesthetics.
