Exuberant vase of roses and carnations with open corollas, captured at their moment of maximum splendor. The vase rests on a white tablecloth on which we also see a ceramic plate with orange segments. Two other unpeeled oranges rest next to the napkin. The green curtain compartmentalizes the background. The carefully studied arrangement of the elements and the meticulous detailing coexist with a certain freedom in the stroke, giving the painting a sensorial and emotive cadence, in the manner of Antoine Berjon.
