Andalusian bracket from the first half of the 17th century

Andalusian bracket from the first half of the 17th century.
Carved and polychrome wood.
Measurements: 63 x 18 cm.

Ornamental cantilever of baroque period made of carved and polychrome wood. It is divided in two parts markedly differentiated: the inferior half embellished with fruits and vegetal elements, finished in its low part in an acanthus leaf, and the superior half under the angular section with the figure of a putti of curled hair. It would be an ornamental detail of a larger architectural ensemble, possibly an altarpiece or altar.
