Founder of Dau al Set, Modest Cuixart has exhibited his work at the Tate Gallery in London and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and has received the Crosses of Sant Jordi and Isabel la Católica, as well as the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. He is represented in the Reina Sofia National Museum, the Tate Gallery in London, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Contemporary Art Museums of Madrid, Barcelona and Saint-Etienne (France), the Patio Herreriano in Valladolid, the Spanish Contemporary Engraving Museum in Marbella, the Art Museum of the University of São Paulo, the Abstract Art Museum of Cuenca and the Museum of Empordà, among many others.
