Hand knotted in wool. Red field with geometric decorations in various colors that fade as they reach the side borders.
These rugs are hand-knotted in northwest Persia. They are usually large and very resistant. The city of Heriz is located in the northwest of Iran, not far from the city of Tabriz. In this place and its surroundings, rugs are made with an easily recognizable pattern and with a large medallion in the center at right angles with marked corners.
